Texture, with Architectural Character.
Clever storage and a contemporary vision.
This bespoke kitchen brings together rich painted cabinetry, exposed brickwork, pale stone worktops and warm timber shelving to create a space with strength, texture and contemporary character. The design feels confident and architectural, balancing the raw beauty of the brick walls with the precision and refinement of handcrafted cabinetry.
The dark cabinetry gives the kitchen depth and definition, while the white worktops and large windows keep the space feeling bright and open. Oak shelving introduces warmth and natural texture, with discreet lighting adding atmosphere and highlighting the character of the brick. Industrial-style pendant lights, brushed metal cup pulls and integrated appliances complete the look, creating a kitchen that feels practical, elegant and full of personality.
At the centre of the room, a generous island provides preparation space, storage and a natural gathering point. Beyond the working kitchen, the space opens into a light-filled dining area, making this a kitchen designed for cooking, entertaining and everyday family life.
Modern Function in a Characterful Space.
The dark painted cabinetry gives this kitchen its strong visual identity. Used across the island, base units and tall storage wall, the colour creates a cohesive and sophisticated scheme that sits beautifully against the exposed brick.
Traditional framed doors and drawer fronts bring a timeless quality to the cabinetry, while the overall palette feels more contemporary and architectural. The dark finish has depth and elegance, helping to anchor the room and create a sense of permanence.
Paired with pale stone worktops and brushed metal ironmongery, the cabinetry feels balanced and refined. It is a bold choice, but one that works beautifully in a bright open-plan space with plenty of natural light.

How do you stop a dark kitchen from feeling too dark?
The key is balance. Dark cabinetry can be paired with pale worktops, natural timber, open shelving, reflective surfaces and plenty of natural or integrated lighting. In this kitchen, the white worktops, oak shelves and exposed brick help create warmth, contrast and light. -
Do you supply appliances, or should I source these separately?
We prefer to supply your appliances to ensure the process is as efficient as possible and we can turn up on the day with everything you need for your new space, but we can work with those you’ve chosen. Many clients prefer us to manage the process so everything is fitted seamlessly. Appliances can be planned into the overall design. Ovens, refrigeration, dishwashers, hobs, extractors, coffee machines and wine storage can all be integrated depending on the brief. We are a displaying dealer of Miele, BORA, Lacanche, Everhot, and Liebherr Monolith.
