A Brief Rooted in Elegant Everyday Living.

Classic Cabinetry with a Contemporary Island.

The design brief was to create a luxury family kitchen with a strong sense of balance, proportion and permanence. The clients wanted a space that would feel sophisticated without being formal, with practical storage, generous work surfaces and beautifully crafted cabinetry that complemented the architecture of the home.

The layout needed to support modern living while retaining a classic aesthetic. By combining traditional framed cabinetry with a clean, open arrangement, the kitchen offers a natural flow between preparation, cooking, serving and entertaining. It is a space designed not only to look beautiful, but to work intuitively every day.

A Beautifully Framed Cooking Area.

The cooking area has been designed with a sense of symmetry and quiet grandeur. A bespoke overmantel frames the hob and worktop below, creating a traditional focal point while discreetly housing modern extraction.

The dramatic stone splashback introduces movement, texture and natural elegance, echoing the island worktop and bringing visual continuity across the space.

Brass cup pulls, classic knobs and a traditional brass tap add warmth and character, softening the clean palette and giving the kitchen a layered, lived-in quality.

These subtle details help bridge the gap between heritage design and modern luxury, creating a kitchen that feels established, personal and enduring.

FAQs

Everything you need to know.

Designing a bespoke kitchen is a significant decision, and it's natural to have questions along the way. If there's something you don't see here, our design team is always happy to talk it through.

  • Does Evie Willow provide the ironmongery for my bespoke furniture?

Yes. Ironmongery is considered as part of the overall kitchen design, from cabinet knobs and cup pulls to hinges and internal hardware. The right ironmongery can completely change the character of a bespoke kitchen, whether you prefer aged brass, polished nickel, bronze, pewter or a more contemporary finish. We have a range of quality suppliers at different price points which we can discuss in your choices meeting.

  • Do you offer guidance on worktops, sinks, taps, and handles?

We do. As part of our design process, we’ll guide you through all of these choices, from stone worktops to tap finishes. Our showroom includes examples so you can see and feel the options in person.

  • Can I choose the wood, finishes, and paint colours for my kitchen?

Yes. We work with beautiful natural timbers such as oak, walnut, and ash, each with its own character. You can choose natural oils, stains, paints or various innovative materials to achieve the look you want — while still celebrating the strength and craftsmanship beneath.

  • Can I include glass-fronted display storage?

Yes. Glass-fronted cabinetry is a beautiful way to display glassware, ceramics or special pieces while adding depth and character to the kitchen. In this project, the glass-fronted island storage creates a refined display area and gives the island a more furniture-like feel.
  • Where do I start if I’m interested in a bespoke Evie Willow kitchen?

The best place to begin is by getting in touch with our design team. You can call, email, or book a consultation. From there, we’ll guide you through every step — ideally, you’ll visit us in our Showroom and Workshop in Minster Lovell to take a closer look at what we do. Then make sure to follow our social media channels @eviewillowkitchens to follow our latest work and see what we are making. You can read more about our process here.
