A key part of this kitchen’s character comes from the contrast between the perimeter cabinetry and the island. The lighter painted cabinetry keeps the room feeling airy and elegant, while the darker island introduces definition and a more furniture-like presence at the centre of the space.

Traditional framed doors, classic drawer proportions and understated ironmongery give the cabinetry a timeless quality. The contrast in tone adds interest without overwhelming the room, creating a bespoke kitchen that feels layered, balanced and visually refined.

This combination of lighter and darker painted cabinetry is especially effective in larger kitchen spaces, where it helps define the island as a focal point while maintaining a soft and cohesive overall palette.
